I am a mother of four neurodivergent children and understand the frustrations that this brings, as well as the shared celebrations and achievements.

Initially, battling against an education system that refused to recognise and develop my children’s’ strengths as learners, I became interested in SpLDs and finding teaching methods that suited their ways of learning.

Fast forward 20 years and I have been working as a teacher for over 15 years, across all key stages, in a variety of mainstream, special schools and alternative provisions.

I have been tutoring students with dyslexia for ten years, and during the last two years I have increased my hours working with students whose needs aren’t being met in mainstream or who need extra individual input to help them recognise and build on their strengths as learners.

I hold the British Dyslexia Association AMBDA qualification

(certificate number 18/AMB06098)

I am also member of PATOSS and am listed on their website as an assessor and teacher

(certificate number 500002757)
